A Lost City

After becoming a member, one of the early things I did was look around at the various new quests available runescape. Most I ignored at first, and still am. I became a member earlier than is recommended, but some of those new quests are fairly easy runescape gold. One that is not the easiest, but is worth it, at least in my opinion, is the Lost City quest.
I actually started it by accident. I was investigating those things in the freeplay area that wouldn't let me do anything previously, such as talking to the four adventurers just east of draynor, and south of Lumbridge. runescape money Which, for those who have done it, is the first step to taking the Lost City quest!
I was able to catch the Leprechaun fairly easily, and finally figured out how to get to the Isle of Entrana. Took me about 3 trys to get the Monks to give me a clean bill of health. The first time I actually went, I was too low with my woodcutting level to be able to actually cut the tree! Ugh. So, out the door, and into the wilderness. I headed south fairly rapidly, and avoided seeing anyone else.
So, I spent the next few hours of gameplay cutting trees. This also gave me the chance to practice my Fletching, another newly available skill. I had previously made a few arrows, but hadn't made much progress on that skill. The trees I cut eventually allowed me to reach level 15 from starting at level 4.
After finally reaching the required level, I went back to Entrana. runescape Again, I couldn't take any weapons with me. I do wonder, if you have a Pickaxe where the head has fallen off, will they let you take that across? It isn't after all, a weapon anymore! Then, reattach it there. For Fighters, it might be an interesting idea. Can anyone try it, and let me know if it works?
Back to my narrative, I reached the Isle, I defeated the Tree Spirit fairly easily, using a lot of Runes, and casting spells from beyond the mushrooms. I made sure to cut myself a staff of the Dramen wood, and I left again. This time, I was much less lucky in the Wilderness. I was looking away for a moment, and was down to 2 hitpoints from the 3 attackers! Quite obviously, I was dead almost immediately. I didn't lose anything overly important, except the Staff! Oh great! I had to go back to the cavern, AGAIN! This quest had better be worth it, let me tell you!
Before heading back, I did check my spell level. With all the magic I had cast at the Tree Spirit, I had reached the level where I could teleport. So, I took the runes for the Varrock teleport, and just went through the whole process as fast as I could runescape gold.
This time, I had some time, so I cut a round dozen of the tree branches. Then, I teleported to Varrock, whittled the branches to Staffs, and banked most of them. I then finished the quest, by entering the small shack just past the 4 adventurers. I was in Zanaris, the Lost City!
So, great, I am there, now what? Well, what I tend to use the City for the most, is cooking! You have a lot of grain, cows, chocolate bar respawn, a mill, dairy churn, Stove, a bucket, Dairy cow, and a bank. Bring a few potatoes [okay, bank them], and you can make some good food. It is good experience, interesting - especially if you do different things, not just one - and there is no danger. If you do want to practice fighting or magic, there are OtherWorldly Beings in a cavern to the south. They tend to not attack you, and are good experience. Magic works better than melee, and I am not sure about Ranged attacks, as it is one of my weakest areas.
So, I spent many hours there creating food, especially baked potatoes, so I could have lots of food in the bank. runescape money Now, I was ready to go out and face the world.
Oh, there is much more you can do in Zanaris than just cook. That is simply what I enjoy doing there. There is also a smelter, and a sandpit. This was where I began my first experiments in Glassblowing. I had gotten seeweed, and could now experiment with it. It is an interesting Craft. The Glassblowing rod is found on Entrana. You remember, the isle I had to go to in the beginning? Surprising what you can find on unexpected places, isn't it?
